It's always a bit of a mess when a new World of Warcraft expansion drops - there is a lot of rush to get my... ahem, only character to a playable state, and everything else sort of falls by the wayside for a month or so. This doesn't mean there aren't more dōjinshi to review! Although, this time around it's sort of a short one.
ていこくらんち is, from what I could gather from their website and PIXIV, a single person circle from the Kansai region, focusing on humorous 4-koma about girls and photography. Usually 4-koma (with a few notable exceptions) are not really my cup of tea, so I bought カメラバカにつける薬9 (yes, the ninth volume, sue me) mostly because of the cover art - I am a sucker for covers that blend photograhy and illustrations. Year is 2017 (though the circle seems to be still active), format is A5 in BW aside for the cover.
Contents are, as I already spoiled (lol), four-panel sketches focusing on the funny misadventures of a girl, her camera, and a few fairly abstract-looking characters that were probably introduced in previous volumes. Not much of a problem as, in 4-koma tradition, here the punchline is king: characters are stock, and the visual style sticks with the format's conventions by entirely forsaking background and anatomy in favor of super-deformity and funny facial expressions. Some of the 4-koma come accompanied by a short blurb giving more details on the photography background needed to understand the punchline, which are very much welcome as photography is something I have zero interest in, and know zero about XD
So yeah, sort of a departure from what I usually buy, but still fun overall if you're into 4-koma or photography. The author streams on PIXIV-sketch, if you're interested. Twitter is protected, sadly.
